A look back

My highlight of 2011 would have to be my school trip to New York City in the beginning of the year. It was my first time in the Big Apple. I have always dreamed of standing in Times Square amidst all of the bright lights. Sadly, we went during the middle of a snowstorm. My spirits weren’t crushed though; it was just like in the movies. One thing I made sure I had was New York Cheesecake, sooo good! Looking forward to doing more travelling in the new year.

Two of my favourite gifts I got for Christmas: Calvin Klein Euphoria and the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I have been lusting for the Urban Decay Naked Palette since reading the positive reviews online and watching makeup tutorials on youtube. The shadows are so pigmented, I just can't wait to try it!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Here are the cake pops I made for my friends in peppermint, rocky road & coconut. This year, I spent Christmas Eve with my boyfriend also celebrating our one year anniversary. I had so much chocolate, I can feel my skin breaking out. Christmas only comes once a year so it's okay to indulge! Peace and love.

Demi Lovato is not only my inspiration in terms of style, but in life. Demi is a multi talented singer with a powerful voice and a funny actress with a good sense of humour. Growing up Demi was the target of bullying and had issues with self-esteem. Last year, Demi went though treatment for her eating disorder and self-harm. Demi is back and better than ever, speaking out as an advocate for bullying, eating and mood disorders, self-harm and substance abuse. I admire Demi’s strength and perseverance; she has overcome so much at such a young age.  This girl was destined for success.

It's my birthday, I'll get high if I want to

Yesterday I celebrated my 20^th birthday with my best friends. It saddens me to think my years of being a teen are over. We cut cake, had jello shots, popped champagne, and danced the night away. I wore a dress from Star, clutch from H&M and my Jeffrey Campbell Litas. Karl Wolf performed at the club we were at and two of my girls got a picture… Until next year, VEGAS!!!
